Alex bought and sold his first vintage watch aged 14 and has been hooked ever since. Accompanying his father, a bookseller and collector, around the local car boot sales and markets as a child, he began trading a wide range of collectable objects as a teenager. Quickly specialising and following his keen interest in vintage watches, he moved on to his first Rolex models at 16. Leaving school at 17 and declining a university place in favour of practical work experience in the business, he went to work at one of London’s leading vintage watch specialists. He worked across all aspects of the business including extensively in auctions, private sales, sourcing, cataloguing and client advisory work, before deciding to focus on his own business and establishing Alex Stevens Vintage in the winter of 2020.

As a dealer, Alex has become known for his meticulous curation, selecting the best examples in terms of condition and originality. He is very much looking forward to curating a selection of collector-grade vintage watches for The Vintage Watch Draw.
